HAWAIIAN GARLIC SHRIMP I’ve never been to Hawaii nor have I tried Giovanni’s shrimp but this is my take on it and how I think it would taste 1 lb shrimp— I used super colossal, shell on 3/4 cup all purpose flour 1 TBSP paprika 1 tsp cayenne pepper 1 tsp salt 1 stick butter 1.5 bulb of garlic, minced 1. Make our dry batter by mixing together flour, paprika & cayenne pepper. 2. The coat shrimp in the batter, set aside. — (make sure shrimp is pat dry) 3. In a skillet, melt 1 stick of butter. 4. Then add garlic and cook for ~5 mins. 5. After 5 mins, add shrimp cook in a single layer for ~4 mins each side. Season with 1 tsp salt. Note: Add oil as needed and cook time will vary on the size of your shrimp 6. Once your shrimp is done cooking, plate up and enjoy. I served mine with Mac salad and rice

I Ate Garlic Every Day For 1 Month And This Happened. Foods can be medicines, too. A classic example of this is garlic, which has been used since time immemorial to treat a variety of medical conditions. 💡Other videos you’ll love!: 🎥Watch: What To Eat After Working Out For More Gains 🤍 In a nutshell: For instance, eating garlic every day is found to lower the risk of heart disease by collectively addressing a couple of health factors including high cholesterol, blood sugar, and blood pressure. Continue watching this video to learn what happens if you eat garlic every day for a month. Second, garlic also contains antiviral agents that can work in two ways1) block the entry of viruses into cells and 2) strengthen the immune response to effectively ward off potential invaders. In some cases, having garlic every day can help prevent and reduce the severity of the flu and common cold. Eating garlic every day can help curb the activity of certain inflammatory proteins. In a randomized study of 70 women, the group who had 1,000 mg of garlic supplements per day for 8 weeks had lower inflammatory markers, less fatigue, and pain, and reduced tender joints compared with the placebo group. Thankfully, human studies found that eating garlic has a remarkable impact on lowering blood pressure in people with hypertension. In one study, having 600 - 1500 mg of aged garlic extract was just as effective as taking Atenolol at lowering blood pressure over 24 weeks. Garlic works to stimulate the synthesis of nitric oxide, which then dilates blood vessels and inhibits angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) activity. While we`re on the topic of cardiovascular diseases, daily garlic intake can also minimize other heart disease risk factors like high cholesterol. Another way garlic is good for the heart is by improving cholesterol levels. To be specific, garlic can lower total and LDL (or bad) cholesterol by about 10-15%. Although more research is needed to determine the relationship between garlic intake and cholesterol levels, some studies concluded that garlic supplementation was indeed effective in lowering total cholesterol and high LDL cholesterol levels. While garlic appears to lower LDL, it has, however, no reliable effect on HDL (or good) cholesterol. Also, high triglyceride levels are another risk factor, but unfortunately, garlic doesn`t seem to have significant effects on it. Taking garlic by mouth is also known to reduce pre-meal blood sugar levels in people with or without diabetes. Furthermore, it was found that raw garlic can also reduce the risk of atherosclerosis. Plus, garlic has vitamins B-6 and C, with B-6 for carbohydrate metabolism and C for blood sugar level maintenance. On the other hand, there`s no definite evidence that garlic reduces post-meal blood sugar levels. Consider eating garlic every day for a month. In fact, it goes way back to ancient times when it was used to reduce fatigue and boost the physical capacity of laborers. Rodent studies have indicated that garlic does improve exercise performance, however, only a few human studies have been conducted. People with heart disease who had garlic oil for 6 weeks experienced a 12% reduction in heart rate and improved exercise capacity. In fact, 3 doses of garlic daily can even outmatch the drug D-penicillamine in reducing symptoms. Next up is how garlic can help with bone loss: There are no human studies on the effects of garlic on bone loss. Subscribe to Body Hub!: 🤍 #BodyHub #garlic #garlicbenefits ℹ️ Medical Disclaimer: 🤍

I was surprised to see my garlic was ready to harvest earlier than normal this year. Keep an eye on your garlic so you’ll know when to harvest. Here’s what to look for: • Garlic is ready to harvest when about half the lower leaves are brown, and the cloves are plump and well-formed. • Garlic left in the ground too long will begin to split, and the garlic will not store well. • Stop watering when the lower 3-4 leaves brown. Dig up a test bulb to check on size. • About a week later, harvest the garlic by gently lifting it with a fork rather than pulling if it doesn't come out easily. • Allow the harvested garlic to cure in a shady well-ventilated area. Softneck garlic can also be braided and hung up to cure. • Lay the garlic out in a single layer on a rack or floor, or braid the stems of soft neck varieties. • Allow the garlic stems to wither and the papery skins to tighten around the cloves. • Trim roots and trim stems to about 1″ when the necks are moisture-free, completely tight, and dry. • Store bulbs in a dry, cool place. Check cloves regularly, and use any soft ones right away. (Softneck varieties will store longer than hardneck varieties.) • Save the largest cloves for planting next year. Leave the stored cloves intact. I promise you’ll never buy chili oil again. — This is also a great way to use leftover frying oil! I like to use my leftover oil from chicken because it gives the chili oil extra flavor — I purposefully made this recipe to be mildly salty. This ensures it doesn’t change the taste of the foods you’re adding it too. Remember - you can always add more, but it’s hard to take out! - 1.5 cups (350ml) neutral frying oil - .5 cup (118ml) chili pepper flakes - .5 cup (118ml) gochugaru Korean red pepper flakes - 1 tsp salt - 1 tbsp soy sauce - 100g diced shallots (2-3 whole pieces) - 20g roughly chopped garlic (3 large cloves) 1. Heat the frying oil and add diced shallots. Cook for about 6 minutes and stir every minute until golden brown. 2. Add the roughly chopped garlic to the oil and cook for about 2 minutes. 3. Sprinkle in the salt and drizzle in the soy sauce at the edge of the pan. 4. Add the dried chili pepper and Korean chili flakes and cook for 2 minutes while continuously stirring. Turn off the stove and remove the pan from heat. 5. Transfer the oil to a glass jar and let cool. The oil will keep fresh in the refrigerator for up to 6 months.
