When you have intricate cut outs that you are planning on decoupaging, this is the easiest method for getting rid of the excess paper. Be careful though, as it often decides to burn in two directions (yeah, makes sense but I could have done with this warning before I started!!) but it was sooooo much faster and easier this way! I love doing decoupage, used to do it when I was young in my teens, and now at 67 I've revisited the craft. There are lots of ways to smooth off the edges of a project should your decoupage napkin go over the edge. I watched a few videos on how to burn the edges and decided to try it out. I suspected it would be a lot of fun, and it is (or was). In being creative sometimes we get an idea, or someone shares an idea which stirs our motivation to be creative.
