Ruth Kawana Yonemoto was one of six children in a family that was forced to leave their home in Glendale, California to move to Rohwer Relocation Center in Arkansas. In this interview, she discusses the impact that Pearl Harbor had on her family and the discrimination they faced. This clip is a selection from an hour and a half interview of Yonemoto for the documentary "_Time of Fear_" which shared the stories of Japanese American who were interned in Arkansas during the war. Yonemoto was among 110,000 Japanese and Japanese Americans who were sent to internment camps under Franklin D. Roosevelt's Executive Order 9066. Signed on Feb. 19, 1942, the order granted the U. S. government authority to relocate both citizens and non-citizens based on the fear that anyone with Japanese ancestry was a potential spy or saboteur. This interview is a part of UALR's Center for Arkansas History and Culture's collection, "Life Interrupted." Every month, the Center will release a new interview clip, leading up to our exhibit on Japanese American internment in Arkansas, which will open in September 2014.

감사합니다 :) Subscribe and like is a big help. Four people are missing after a landslide buried three homes on a hillside Tlalnepantla, México state, Friday afternoon. Enormous rocks and earth became dislodged from the Cerro de Chiquihuite, probably a result of recent heavy rainfall, some officials said. Heavy equipment and trucks were on the scene shortly after to remove debris and assist emergency personnel in the search for survivors. Three days ago, at least one resident of the area noticed six waterfalls had formed on the hill during heavy rains. And hours later, there was a 7.1-magnitude earthquake. The Cerro de Chiquihuite (Chiquihuite Hill) is located on the boundary of Tlalnepantla and the Mexico City borough of Gustavo A. Madero Against this background, Governor Alfredo Del Mazo reported that the emergency services of the Mexican state were already on site for rescue work in coordination with the federal and local authorities. For its part, the government of Tlalnepantla reported that firefighters and paramedics from the communal civil protection coordination are taking care of the evictions registered in the Exploradores Club of Chimalhuacán, Lázaro Cárdenas Second Section. He explained that an excavator and two dump trucks from the Urban Transformation Directorate are already on site to support the relief work, and that five other trucks and another excavator are on the way.
